SiteSense Goes Public!
It's been a few weeks since we made a blog post, but not because we haven't been busy...
Full Ambit Media is infinitely proud to announce the first packaged public release of our open source web application framework, content management system and blog publishing platform. SiteSense is simple but powerful, flexible, secure and high-performance. But, best of all, SiteSense is entirely free to use.

Higher Pay & Shorter Hours: A Better Model For Your Business
We believe that the corporate culture in America is out of line in regard to expectations of its’ employees. America has become the most overworked nation in the developed world. How many employees in corporate America feel that they must work nights and weekends, way beyond the 40 hour standard established almost 100 years ago, to move up the ladder? Hell, forget promotion, many of them feel they must do that just to keep their jobs. Even if it is an unspoken expectation, it is nevertheless, a real expectation. There is no way we will get that promotion we’ve had our eye on if we don’t make this ultimate commitment to live our lives for our employer. We must “out-do” our co-workers or forget it.

Employees are considered “disposable“. Use ‘em up, throw them out the door with their 401k and move on to the next batch. Long gone are the days when companies took care of their employees with the expectation that they would retire while still in their employ.

The Principles & Elements of Design: Color
Color seems simple, something we see and easily interpret every moment of every day, yet it is actually very complex. Color is dependent upon the conditions of the environment around the object and the physiology of the eye and the brain perceiving the color.

Newton first identified light as the source of color perception. Light cannot pass through opaque surfaces. Opaque surfaces reflect light in different ways that determine which wavelengths are visible and which colors are perceived. They may also absorb color or they may reflect and absorb in combination.
